Quality System certified UNI EN ISO 9001-2000 by the "Cermet" company. First system certification obtained 29 June 1999; in June 2003, extension to all establishments within the group for the program to update certification to the new standard (UNI EN ISO 9001-2000). This certification confirms that the company respects the clearly defined rules detailed in a standard that is recognised on an international level. A certified quality system is a formal stipulation of precise operational procedures by means of internal documentation whose use is shared by the various departments of the company.

The production plant for cooked and cured hams also conforms to standards stipulated by the British Retail Consortium (BRC), this is a consortium for large north European chains whose purpose is to guarantee the safety of the entire supply chain, to control risks and to increase customer confidence.
The Consortium stipulates that the company should comply with certain high standards of production (whether these be with regard to aspects of quality system management or aspects of health) certified by tests performed directly in food production plants.

On 7 July 2000, "Leonardo" cooked ham obtained the Agro-Industrial product certification (certificate No. 2000-01) from the Cermet society; this guarantees the Italian origin of raw ingredients, the protein level, and that the products contain no gluten, milk products or proteins that do not originate from animals or vegetables. |
