Salumeria Rosi, Parmacotto's first single-brand store opened for business in New York City in the autumn of 2008.
It is located on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, at 283 Amsterdam Avenue, and allows New Yorkers to purchase cold cuts and cheeses from our nation and taste them in a setting that combines the many characteristic aspects of "Italian-ness".
An exceptional artist was responsible for the store’s interior design. In fact, Dante Ferretti, the Italian set designer and two-time Academy Award winner created an environment for the store that is worthy of a film set. It resembles an old ship where a large Archimbold inspired Italy "floats" among black steel columns, wooden planks and mirrored walls. Instead, Cesare Casella, the Tuscan chef who offers testimony to Italian food in the Big Apple, has been entrusted with the duties of creating menus and presenting products. The dishes prepared by Casella, just like the products that are sold in the store, are all based on traditional Italian foods, and specifically come from the Regions of Emilia and Tuscany. The store’s originality lies in its innovative formula which is made up of two souls: one part is dedicated to the sale of products, mainly cold cuts, but also cheeses and ready-made dishes created by the chef, a "cold-cut/delicatessen" counter where qualified staff illustrate the features of the product and provide additional information regarding the ways it can be used; instead, another area is dedicated to in-store consumption, where customers, immersed in a warm and exclusive atmosphere, can taste delicacies, all of Italian origin.

On Saturday 26 September 2009, the renovated “Sorelle Picchi” restaurant was officially inaugurated.
The historical trattoria-delicatessen in Parma's historical centre – bought by Parmacotto about a year ago now – has been completely renovated: its visible kitchen onto Via Farini and an awe-inspiring delicatessen with a counter full of those traditional Parma delicacies.
The premises have been deliberately renovated to preserve their nature, their throbbing heart: cooks, products and suppliers are the same as ever, quality is still what this historical location, now an authentic "boutique of taste", is all about.
This project aimed to preserve those traditional products presenting them to the public "at their best"; that same passion links the renewed Sorelle Picchi location to the birth of Salumeria Rosi Parmacotto in New York, representing that company commitment to "export" its city - Parma – as the real agro-food capital, through knowing the true value of its specialities.
